The new Coldplay record is out and so is the vote on how well/bad they did. Personally, so far, I d say: a bit of a mixed bag. Some stuff is playing it safe - the Coldplay sound. Has to earn the production costs, right. Some stuff is a bit too wanting or trying it too hard. And some stuff is just simply brilliant, fantastic...

E.g. this song features Rihanna. Until now she didnt really register with me, after listening to this song I need to know about her. OK, the lyrics are a bit cheesy, but I like it.

P.S.: Chris Martin is still annoying, but isnt often the case, that great musicians/artists/actors etc. are not necessarily the people you want have as friends....
